Join our ministry team in reaching and raising a Spirit-filled generation for Christ. Specifically through:

Leading and providing oversight for our nursery through the fifth/sixth grade of our church education ministry: Sunday school, Nurseries, Midweek children’s program (three sessions: Fall, Winter and Spring), Good News Club, children’s summer camps and clubs, and family oriented events. 

Equipping and resourcing parents and guardians to raise their children to love Christ with all their being and coming alongside their children to reach their community for Christ. 

Providing regular training of teaching volunteers.

Working in conjunction with Worship Pastor and volunteers in leading children’s worship and children’s musical performances. 

Leading and providing oversight for our outreach ministry to families of our community.

General Job Description: It will be the responsibility of the Children’s Director to set goals and objectives, plan, organize, recruit, train, inspire and supervise volunteer workers for this vital ministry of Community Bible Church. 

Accountability: This position reports directly to the Senior Pastor and is also accountable to the board of Elders. 

Specific Job Responsibilities:

Implementing the mission of Community Bible Church - To know and make known the glory of God. 

To actively employ the vision of Community Bible Church - 

Being a praying/worshiping people.

• Daily seeking the Lord in prayer through His Word, privately and corporately. 
• Participating regularly in staff prayer, Midweek prayer night, Seek Week, All-Church Prayer Retreat and any other gathering of the church family to pray.

Being a discipling people.

• Personally discipling a small group of men or women. 
• Mentoring those under direct supervision in not only ministry but personal walks with Christ. 
• Encouraging others within the church family to be discipling and being discipled. 

Being a witnessing people. 

• Being active in personal life to share Christ with the lost through having a Fav Five and participating in the Prayer, Care, Share Ministry. 
• Leading, recruiting and participating in all church community outreaches. 
• When able, participate in foreign mission ministry trips. 

Coordination/Cooperation

Coordination is essential with youth ministries, music ministries, outreach ministries and other ministries where it is relevant. In order to facilitate this ministry staff will be on campus on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 9 am and 3:30 pm.

This position will have responsibility for planning and providing parenting classes in support of our families but will not have responsibility for general adult education other than reasonable communication/coordination efforts.

Supervision

Responsible for discipling and supervising Children’s Ministries Interns and Children’s Ministry Team Leaders.

Priorities:  

Maintaining your personal walk with the Lord, and if married, looking to the needs of your spouse so that both you and your spouse are growing in the Lord. 

Secondly, build a children’s ministry that is nurturing and training children in their walk with Christ.
