Ministry Title: Campus Pastor

Reports to: Lead Pastor

Ministry Grade: Full Time/Salary

Salary Range: $70-90K

 

Qualifications:

• Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

• 5 years' experience in high level pastoral ministries.

• Bible College, Seminary Training or a Seminary Degree; Bachelor’s Minimum.

• Lives a Godly lifestyle and has good verbal/written communication skills.

• Wife, children, and family are fully committed to Christ and to the church.

• Caring attitude with strong interpersonal relationship skills.

• Ability to lead and direct a staff while maintaining a strong teamwork atmosphere.

• Have a servant's heart, passion for God, the church, and a genuine concern for the lost.

• A prayerful heart and be willing to work nonstandard hours on an occasional basis.

• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

 

Ministry Summary:

The Campus Pastor is the primary communicator and responsible for the leadership and direction of their campus. They lead the ministry and support staff at that campus.

 

Responsibilities:

• Support the Lead Pastor in the accomplishments of the church’s mission through ministry effectiveness, evaluation, discernment, decision making, planning and overall direction of their campus.

• Lead the campus staff in fulfilling the overall vision and mission of Cross Church.

• Assessing ministry needs and developing ministries and activities to meet those needs.

• Meet weekly with the Lead Pastor, Executive Pastor and other Campus Pastors to prepare the week’s message.

• Be regularly involved in the various ministries including preaching, teaching, training, prayer, evangelism, and missions.

• Function as a member of the church’s pastoral staff performing weddings, funerals, child dedications, and baptisms.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Staff Supervision and Development:

The Campus Pastor is the primary supervisor and evaluator of their staff.
