Job Description:

KiDs Beach Club® (KBC), a Christ-focused 501(c)(3) global ministry based in Bedford, Texas, has an immediate opening for a full-time Communications/Marketing Director.

The Communications/Marketing Director leads the efforts that engage people outside the organization to further the vision and mission of KBC to give preteen boys and girls a Jesus experience. This includes driving/executing the communications, marketing, and sales components of the organization.

JOB OVERVIEW

  • Provide proactive Christ-centered leadership through team and project management
  • Effectively promote KBC programs/messages with targeted communications and effective marketing tactics across all channels
  • Help generate donor revenue by expanding utilization of KBC products and services

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide Proactive Leadership

  • Manage the Communications/Marketing team, including recruiting, transitioning, training, PTO management, and professional development
  • Manage Communication/Marketing Team projects, ensuring activities are completed on time and on budget
  • Manage graphic arts and printing projects by providing oversight of outside graphic artists and printers, as well as social media coordinators/contractors
  • Regularly track/report on key performance indicators related to communications, marketing, and sales
  • Monitor budgets for communications, marketing, and sales
  • Engage with and visit Beach Clubs® weekly during in-school operations in the Dallas/Fort Worth area to secure stories and photos for distribution in KBC media
  • Support the KBC Director of Operations & Volunteers with new/existing efforts to broaden the volunteer base with effective communications

Manage the KBC Message and Brand

  • In coordination with the Ministry Relations Vice President, develop and executive comprehensive communications/marketing strategies, including best use of social media and direct contact, for all KBC stakeholders
  • Manage the production of donor appeal pieces, newsletters, email campaigns, marketing campaigns and so forth, assisting with writing, editing and project management as needed
  • Ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all mediums
  • Oversee the management of all KBC websites and the development of new web pages or upgrades

Generate Revenue

  • Manage the sales processes for Beach Clubs®, CharacterLeads, curriculum licensing, KBC at Church, and so forth
  • In coordination with the Ministry Relations Vice President, develop and bring to market new products and services; repackage and market existing assets
  • Maintain and grow KBC’s strategic partnerships with churches/denominations, and other stakeholders/potential stakeholders through regular/routine contact and communications
  • Utilize marketing and communications strategies to generate leads for KBC programs and products such as Beach Clubs®, CharacterLeads, KBC at Church, and so forth
  • Support the KBC Director of Operations & Volunteers when requested to assist with KBC Television licensing queries

General

  • Actively participate in regularly scheduled team meetings and staff development opportunities
  • Perform other duties or functions that may be assigned by the Ministry Relations Vice President (supervisor) or KBC CEO
  • Demonstrate a commitment to KBC operating procedures and policies

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with senior-level executives and donors in a variety of organizations
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Adobe Creative Suite, Constant Contact, and website/HTML software
  • Experience with project management software; Monday.com experience desired
  • Comfortable working with customer relationship management (CRM) programs and similar computer programs: e.g. DonorPerfect
  • 7 or more years of experience in communications, marketing/marketing communications, account/project management, and/or related fields
  • 5 or more years of people management experience
  • Demonstrated analytical and reporting skills with the ability to provide/receive constructive feedback and make appropriate recommendations to senior leaders
  • The ability to manage budgets
  • Photography/videography experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college/university or significant experience (15+ years) in lieu of education

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and talking on the phone
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Physical requirements related to occasional travel

RELOCATION

  • No relocation assistance is provided.

STARTING ANNUAL SALARY RANGE

  • $45,000-$65,000 (based upon experience).
