The Education Pastor and Campus Pastor is a full-time Pastoral position as pastoral support to FourteenSix Christian Academy. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide spiritual care to the staff, students, and families of FourteenSix Christian Academy.

Job Summary
      FourteenSix Christian Academy (FCA) is a private Christian K-12 school located in Surprise, Arizona. A highly qualified candidate will enjoy providing spiritual care and discipleship to both kids and adults. The vision of FCA is to equip young people to be able to answer the world's questions regarding the hope that is within (1 Peter 3:15). FCA is dedicated to building Biblically literate, academically proficient young people with a well-grounded biblical worldview from which they can build successful lives. A successful candidate will be key in creating a Christ-centered nurturing environment with biblically based academic excellence empowering students for life-long service to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Responsibilities and Duties
     The Campus Pastor is responsible for the spiritual health of the staff and students, as well as safeguarding the biblical foundation of the academic environment of FCA. As a member of the Academy staff, you will work closely with the Superintendent and Principal in implementing the vision of discipleship and education for children.

  • Daily, the Campus Pastor will lead chapel service. This is a dynamic opportunity, as the service includes students of all ages and allows the entire Academy to start each day with a focus on Jesus.

  • Weekly, the Campus Pastor will lead an extended chapel service. The Campus Pastor will deliver a prepared message to encourage and engage students of all ages.

  • This is a teaching position, and daily the Campus Pastor will be the primary teacher for Bible and Apologetic classes. Specific classes will be determined each semester by the Principal.

  • As required, the Campus Pastor will engage in discipleship conversations with students and families. This enables the Campus Pastor to build life-long relationships.

  • As required, the Campus Pastor will provide spiritual guidance for staff and their families.

  • Will serve as the Subject Matter Expert for the academic development and review of Bible and Apologetic courseware.

  • Will serve on the Academy board as a voting member, ensuring Christ and the truth are the center of curriculum.

  • The Campus Pastor may be called upon to support Calvary Chapel FourteenSix with pastoral duties, as needed.

Qualifications and Skills
As a teaching position, the minimum educational requirement is a Bachelor Degree related to ministry. Highly competitive applicants will possess a Master in a ministry related field.

  • Experience with church Children's Ministry or Youth Ministry is encouraged.

  • Comfortable using the “speaker - listener” technique when managing conflict between

    students.

  • Must be effective sharing the Gospel with students of all ages while equipping students to

    be able to defend their faith upon graduation.

  • Provide guidance to the Superintendent and Principals.

     FCA incorporates the ancient classical three-stage education philosophy. This includes the Data stage which is what-based learning, the memory of facts as building blocks for 1st-5th grade.

     The Discussion stage which is why-based learning, which is answering why things work or happen or matter for Middle School students. Salary and Benefits
Salary range: $55,000 - $65,000 depending on experience.
