Women's Biblical Counselor

His Mansion is a Christ-centered residential recovery center in rural New Hampshire. We have been ministering to the broken and hurting for more than 50 years. We serve individuals seeking healing in the context of community by the hope and power of Jesus Christ.

The Women's Biblical Counselor is, first and foremost, a ministry position. She is responsible for indiviually meeting with Residents and for modeling Christ-like behavior and for leading others in further pursuit of relationship with Jesus Christ through daily life. She expected to be available to pray with and spritiually guide Residents and Servant Leaders; cultivate genuine relationships with staff, Servant Leaders, and the Residents; and to particpate in a regular time of community worship and prayer. The Women's Biblical Counselor meets with women to process the affects of trauma, addiction, mental health, and destructive behaviors. 

Qualifications include: Christ-likeness, strong Christian faith, intergrity, moral values, and convictions. Is relationally focused and service driven. Has a knowledge of and passion for the Word of God and its application in sinful, destructive, and hurtful situations. Particpate in a team care approach for Resident treatment. Have a Master's level education with a focus in counseling or social work and/or extensive comparable ministry experience. At least 1-2 years of working in ministry, preferrably with those in recovery. 

Duties and Responsbilities: Meet with Residents individually and provide support, feedback, and guidance in their healing processes, in accordance to His Mansion's philosophy of ministry and statement of faith. Teach Resident classes as assigned. Facilitate Resident group counseling exercises, including guiding through course material and navigating relevant interpersonal conflict between Residents. Collaborate with other Counseling and Program staff regarding Resident care.

Considerations: This role is often conducted from a seated position.The ability to walk unassisted for at least 1 mile should be considered given the geography of the campus and the buildings. Endurance through the New England seasons should also be considered prior applying.The skill of speaking to groups and boldy speak truth in love is necessary.

Compensation: His Mansion offers a hybrid compensation package including housing and supplemental income. The ability to raise ministry support is available.
