Job Description:
We are actively seeking a pastor called to shepherd our congregation.  He should be able to lead us in the mission that God has for His church. (II Timothy 4:2). Along with the elders, he will provide administrative leadership for the church and model the Christ-like life for both the congregation and community. The position offered is a full-time position with benefits, and salary commensurate with experience and educational training.

 

Qualifications & Responsibilities

 

To be a pastor is first and foremost to meet the biblical requirements laid out in I Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:6-9, and I Peter 5:1-3. He needs to have a clear testimony of personal salvation and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ.

 

The qualified candidate will be a leader who passionately loves God will all their heart, soul, mind, and strength, and loves and cares for their neighbors in ways that will draw them into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ.

 

Qualities & Traits

 

Filled with the Holy Spirit, have an intimate relationship with the Lord, and affirm our core beliefs (on our website);

An accomplished preacher and teacher of the Bible with academic credentials at the doctoral level preferred;

Experienced in full-time ministry for 10 years or more, including experience in a large, vibrant, growing church;

A visionary spiritual leader with the ability to communicate, inspire, mobilize, guide, and direct all our ministries;

A servant-leader who connects with all our people and who invests in ministering to them;

A mentor, motivator, and compassionate leader for our church staff; and,

A role-model for the Christ-like life, evangelism, humility, and integrity.

 

Accountability

 

Directly responsible to the Board of Elders. Annual written and oral evaluations will be conducted by the lay members of the Board of Elders.
