JOB TITLE:                             Campus Technical Director - Argyle

 

CLASSIFICATION:                 Full Time                                                STATUS:                 Exempt

                    

MINISTRY:                            Technical/Production – Creative Arts Team

 

REPORTS TO:                        Direct Report:                      Argyle Campus Pastor

Functional Report:              Central Technical Director 

 

 

JOB SUMMARY:

 

The Campus Technical Director will work with the Central Technical Director to oversee all facets of technical production on the campus by recruiting and equipping people for service and ensuring that the technical facilities of the church are adequate to allow every ministry to function effectively.

 

PURPOSE:

 

As part of a multi-site church, the Campus Technical Director is the leader of technical operations for a particular campus and will serve as a member of the technical team, but also works closely with the campus leaders to assure that the overall ministry goals are attained.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible to work with the Central Technical Director to ensure all technical aspects of the weekend service plan are executed at their campus.
  • Oversees the campus technical volunteer team for weekly equipment set up and operation.
  • Recruits and schedules operators for the weekend worship services.
  • Provides training opportunities for all campus technical volunteers.
  • Maintains regular communication with ministry volunteers.
  • Responsible for the technical success of all campus ministries to children, students and adults.
  • Will work with the Central Technical Director on the implementation, installation of any set change or new equipment.
  • Will work with Central Technical Director to maintain systems and repair as needed
  • Meets regularly with their counterpart at other campuses for coordination and coordinates equipment purchases and repairs with Technical director.
  • Responsible for the technical success of all campus ministries to kids, students and adults.
  • Expertise in live or post production audio is preferred
  • Expertise and experience in Live video production is preferred

  • Must be willing to collaborate
  • Have a strong background in production and a wide variety of technical production skills.
  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience in a technical related field.
  • Strong skills in troubleshooting and repairing technical production equipment
  • Strong skills in communicating with and providing resources to teams within the church.
  • Strong skills in dealing with a variety of contracted or vendor provided goods and services.
  • Clearance of criminal background check

WORK HOURS: 

Monday-Wednesday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Thursday 1:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Sunday 7:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.  Hours will vary by campus and service schedule

 

Must understand that ministry does not always fall within a normal 9:00- 5:00 schedule and working outside of that schedule including weekends and holidays for CT sponsored events may be required.

 

All staff members are required to attend All Staff and Refuel meetings.  Vacations and personal time should not be scheduled that will interfere with attendance.  Any exceptions must be approved by the manager.  

 

All staff members are required to work Christmas and Easter services and the week leading up to each holiday.  The schedule for these services can vary according to the campus needs and the yearly calendar.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT – PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Position requires bending, stooping and stretching to file, and occasional lifting of boxes weighing up to 50 pounds. Work is generally performed indoors, but may involve limited exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
