Milwaukee area suburban church, poised for growth, with excellent children’s, youth and young adult ministries, social media, preaching, messaging and a very talented worship band, is looking for a contemporary worship leader.
The successful candidate will be proficient at knowing and singing contemporary Christian music as well as familiar with slightly older songs. The successful candidate knows a good song that motivates the mind and inspires the soul is timeless. They have strong lead vocal skills and proficiently plays either guitar and or piano/keyboard. They have some experience working with and performing in bands. They have a skillful and sincere stage presence that exemplifies genuine and authentic personal worship to God through the Lord Jesus Christ. They are a “Born Again” Christian with an obvious and evident relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ.
The successful candidate connects well with the congregation and the band and works harmoniously with the Lead Pastor. The successful candidate is biblically based, socially minded, intentionally Christian and is equipped to serve and equips others to serve.
The successful candidate expects, develops and achieves musical excellence in an engaging and encouraging manner. They will develop the current members of the worship band and grow the band by developing talent in the church and by inviting other musicians and instrumentalists, they know from outside the church to join the band.
The successful candidate is a visionary, developing and building upon what already is, to what we could become. They see the merit of raising the community’s awareness of the church by periodically performing the music we sing in the church, out in the community via area music festivals, parades and concerts.
The successful candidate agrees with the church’s Statement of Faith, and will attend this church on a regular basis, which includes Sunday mornings, Wednesday nights, one rehearsal night per week and will be available to provide / coordinate music for weddings and funerals as needed and able.
The successful candidate does not have to be a credentialed "pastor" but already lives in the Milwaukee area, has a regular source of income and transportation and can pass a standard criminal records background check and any other background checks as necessary.
This is a paid position, initially via a generous monthly stipend, but we desire to increase it to a more part time basis in the near future.
