About the Organization:
Venture Christian Church (Venture) is a non-denominational, externally focused bible church whose purpose is to “be a catalyst to transform the Bay Area from a place of spiritual darkness to a global strategic teaching and discipleship center for the gospel of Jesus Christ.”
Venture was born out of the merging of Los Gatos Christian Church and South Valley Community Church in 2007. The pastors of both churches began praying for God to take control of this brand new church and create unity within the body. In 2008, Chip Ingram became Venture’s Senior Pastor as a final step in joining the two churches as one. Chip is a nationally known speaker, author, leadership coach, and the founder of Living on the Edge. This ministry has a mission to teach and inspire Christians to intentionally and continuously pursue a desire to grow spiritually and become mature, authentic disciples of Christ.
Since Chip Ingram’s arrival in 2008, Venture has grown into a thriving ministry with over 3,000 attending each weekend. God has given the church a vision to reach the Bay Area for Christ and help believers live the mission to which God has called them. Venture is housed on a beautiful 28-acre campus, located at the foot of the Santa Cruz Mountains on the border of San Jose and Los Gatos.
About the Position:
This position will provide vision, leadership and execution of Venture’s IT, Business Systems, mobile and software development strategies to build and deploy tools that will serve the church. This role will create a strong IT infrastructure needed for the staff and church ministries of Venture Christian Church. The ideal candidate for this role will be a highly innovative and skilled leader with a keen eye for detail and excellence.
What We Are Searching For:
The ideal prospect will possess 10 years in business and 5 years in an innovative ministry environment. They will have an entrepreneurial spirit alongside a proven track record of successfully overseeing IT and software development initiatives. Effective
budget stewardship and personnel management skills will also be imperative in this role. Expert-level written and verbal communication skills, strong leadership and decision-making abilities are required, while a firm understanding of the vision, mission,
and culture of Venture Christian Church in relation to the role of Head of Product Development and Technology will be essential.

The Town of Los Gatos is nestled at the base of the Sierra Azules and is located approximately 60 miles from San Francisco, just west of San Jose where the Santa Clara Valley meets the Santa Cruz Mountains. It is also a 30-minute drive to the beaches of Santa Cruz along the Pacific Coast. Los Gatos and the surrounding communities boast outstanding schools, abundant outdoor activities, and one of the most temperate climates in the world, year round. With its proximity to San Francisco and San Jose, area residents enjoy all the benefits of small town living along with the entertainment and educational opportunities that are only available in larger cities.
Once an agricultural town, Los Gatos retains its 19th century charm with Victorian architecture and streets lined with quaint, upscale shops, and eateries. The town is also closely tied to Silicon Valley and its fast paced economy. Los Gatos, however, retains a mix of residential, commercial and light industrial uses, still attracts visitors, and continues to retain its small town image.
Los Gatos prides itself as a self-contained community. Over 3,000 businesses serve the residents and act as a destination point for visitors who are attracted to its restaurants, hotels and variety of shops within a pedestrian oriented downtown setting. The town is also an inclusive community with the full mix of ages, family sizes and incomes. Los Gatos has many parks and greenbelt areas, as well as a vibrant downtown area. Downtown Los Gatos is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is the model of what communities strive to achieve in a downtown.
