Student Community Pastor - Job Description

The Chapel At Fishhawk seeks to fill a part-time position [20-30 hours/week] responsible for leading and overseeing the development of programs. This position is part of our Senior Management Team and has the potential for growing into a full time position. The Chapel has been revitalized in the past 3 years and is consistently growing. The majority of our growth is coming from new believers and those who had previously given up on church.

Our Student Community Pastor is not a traditional youth pastor role. We have a team of faithful, skilled, and committed leaders who serve our Middle School and High School ministry students. Our aim with this position is to redefine what Student ministry accomplishes by providing community driven opportunities where students within and beyond the church family will be engaged with a wide variety trades and skills in the midst of building gospel centered relationships with adult believers. The primary role of this position is recruiting, discipling, and training adults to lead groups of students toward Christ through missional efforts of practical instruction related to a trade, vocation, or life skill.

We desire to fill this position by April 1, 2018.

SDGs will range from 1 to 8 weeks in duration.

  • Coordinate and implement an annual budget proposal, and administer that budget as approved by the Elder board.

  • Regularly share the gospel with not yet believing students and parents on an ongoing basis, both individually and cooperatively.
