Community Christian Church is willing to invest in youth ministry. With a youth ministry of 100 students, we are seeking a highly creative Youth Pastor to focus primarily on our weekly Youth Service, and building relationships with students, youth leaders and parents. We offer a great team of volunteers, a sizeable youth budget and a newly renovated youth space.
Our Location
We are located in the metro Detroit area about 20 minutes Northeast of Detroit in Sterling Heights. It is surrounded by malls, shops, great restaurants and several trendy downtown areas. Sterling Heights and surrounding cities are very desirable areas to live with great neighborhoods and schools.

Core Responsibilities
Weekends
Construct a powerful and relevant weekly youth service each week that includes worship, creative biblical teaching, and small group time.
Create a life giving community for students to be known and cared for.
Small Groups
Maintain a small group culture within the youth ministry (we already have the building blocks for that established.)
Events, Retreats and Missions trips
Plan events and retreats for students to encounter God’s presence and have fun connecting with each other on a deeper level.
Families
Partner with, minister to, and communicate with the parents of our church.
Day to Day
Oversee 7th through 12th grade students plus oversee our young adult ministry.
Provide visionary leadership and strategic planning for all youth ministry volunteers.
Organize, maintain, and project a yearly student ministries operational plan and budget.
Leadership Profile
Has a Passionate and growing walk with Christ.
Has the gift of leadership and the heart of a teacher.
Must be self-motivated, hard working and willing to continue educating yourself on youth ministry.
Feels called by God to do youth ministry and loves students.
Has maturity and organization skills but also is fun to be around.
Has the ability to work well with others and follow systems and protocols.
