Director of Children's Ministry Position

Liberty Crossings United Methodist Church

We are seeking a Director of Children's Ministry who passionate about helping children (ages birth through 5th grade) to discover and develop an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ.

Applicants must have at least a Bachelor's degree, concentration in education or religion preferred. This person must currently be participating in a local church and have had teaching experience. Applicants must have a proven track record leading a successful children's ministry or commensurate experience leading children’s programs in other settings.  Computer and social media skills are also needed for marketing the program.  Personality traits must include high-energy, self-starter, superior organizational skills, vibrant spiritual life, an interest in missions and a passion for recruiting, equipping and deploying laity.

The job is full-time and includes Sunday mornings, Sunday evenings and special events.  This position works closely with our spiritual formation director and youth pastor.

Liberty Crossings UMC is a rapidly growing church in a suburb of Birmingham, AL.
