BOHC NextGen Pastor Job Description
Status: Full Time/Salary
Purpose of Position: To provide vision, direction, development and management for all aspects of our ministry from birth through college, including supervising NextGen coordinators, L7 directors, ministry volunteers, curriculum development, programming, NextGen ministry space, budgets and planning.

Specific Responsibilities:
1.Parent-Child Discipleship – Equip parents to pass on their faith to the next generation by discipling their children. Work with NextGen coordinators to develop and implement an ongoing strategy to help parent’s fulfill their calling to be the primary spiritual trainers of their children.
2.Leadership – Provide vision, direction, development and management for all aspects of our ministry from nursery through college. Encourage, train and coach coordinators, facilitate the recruitment, training and encouragement of volunteer leaders and teachers. Oversee ongoing strategic development of curriculum, programming, budgets and planning.
3.Administration-Plan and provide for the security and success of children and students, teachers and leaders within the ministry by establishing and overseeing policies and procedures that enhance excellence and minister grace to the receiver. Areas of oversight include; supplies, screening of volunteers, training, security check-in and retrieval of children, emergency and evacuation procedures, first-aid and CPR training, and annual ministry budget.
4.Programming – Work with coordinators to reach out to children at Bridge of Hope Church and in the community through the Sunday Service hours (Sunday School, children’s Church), Wednesday evenings, and special events and programs (Vacation Bible School, Easter Extravaganza, Fall Fest, Retreats, Mission Trips, Youth Conferences, Day at the Park, etc…) and help launch Camp Hope upon the completion of Bridge Builders Ministry Space.
5.Pastoral Care – Offer pastoral care for children, students and families of BOHC. This may include hospital visitation, counseling, family interventions, baptisms, etc.
6.Champion NextGen Needs— Be an advocate for children & students and educate the congregation about their hopes, concerns and needs in the local church and community.
Qualifications
1.3 – 5 Years experience in leadership of a growing NextGen ministry.
2.Proven leadership and management skills.
3.Strong relational and team building skills.
4.Strong written and personal communication skills.
5.Clear Biblical philosophy of ministry to children, students and families.
6.Agreement with BOHC doctrinal statement, mission vision, core values and strategy.
7.Mature disciple-maker whose character and lifestyle are in conformity to the qualities found in 1 Timothy 3:1-7.
Compensation
Salary is commensurate with training and experience.
