Job Description:

General Role: Guide patients on their journey to psychological wellness with primary expertise in the medical sphere, but incorporating the psychological and spiritual components as well

 

Requirements:

  • FL ARNP License
  • Psychiatry/Behavioral Health specialty
  • Christian fund of knowledge and ability to incorporate this knowledge in personal life and in the treatment process with patients
  • Current DEA
  • Current Malpractice Insurance
  • Compassion for hurting people
  • Leadership Skills

 Skills –

  • Interview someone with Behavioral Health issues using the organizations psychaitric assessment  
  • Diagnose both mental health and substance use disorders
  • Elicit medical histories and perform physical exams assessing medical causes of the Behavioral Health issues 
  • Knowledge of what medical tests to order to accurately diagnosis the patient
  • Assess for level of detox and use standard CAWS and COWS for withdrawal severity
  • Prescribe psychiatric and detox medications, monitor and document results, and perform follow-up medication management within accepted standard of care guidelines.
  • Manage crisis situations, assess the situation, provide physical safeguarding of patient and staff, de-escalate situation psychologically
  • Provide talk therapy addressing the various BH disorders incorporating therapeutic modalities into individual, group, or family sessions:
  • Leading the team as is necessary from a medical standpoint
  • Clear and accurate clinical documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)

 

Physical Requirements

  • Able to lift 25 pounds or to assist a patient with transfer
