Job Summary The Church Relations/Business Development position is responsible for developing relationships for Aspen Group with prospective clients in order for the sales team to reach project sales essential to meet annual company objectives.  Responsible for creating a strategy and goals for business development in conjunction with the Director of Marketing, and a plan of execution to achieve established goals. First point of contact for prospective clients. A team player, this role partners with Marketing and Project Developers and works in a highly collaborative team environment.

 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Prospecting/Lead Generation Develop relationships with centers of influence such as pastors, denominational leaders, financial partners, etc. Follow-up with past clients for referrals as well as long-term client satisfaction.

Jointly develop lead generation tactics with Marketing and Project Developers for target market and geographies. Find and qualify prospective clients and projects that fit defined niche markets. Maintain the universe of prospects in CRM software. Respond to leads, referrals and contacts to develop sales opportunities. Participate in industry events/conferences for learning and networking purposes.

Qualifying/Handoffs Identify value that Aspen Group can add to the opportunity and whether a fit exists between Aspen and the prospective client. Determine if and when the prospective client is ready to be handed off to a Project Developer.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 


Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Management, Ministry, or Construction-related field. Minimum 4-6 years of successful experience in business development and/or sales. Working knowledge of church culture, leadership, ministry, and facilities preferred. Competent with CRM software (Salesforce and Hub Spot preferred). Reliable personal vehicle required (mileage reimbursed). 


  • Satisfactory criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen
  • Percentage of travel required: 30-50%
