Talk Show Producer / Board Operator

Full Time

 

Salem Media Group in New York is looking for a Full Time Talk Show Producer/Board Operator for our two local radio stations, AM 970 The Answer and AM 570 The Mission.  Duties include but are not limited to:

 

  • Produce live daily show which entails editing audio and booking guests
  • Running station Axia and/or AudioArts mixing boards and call screening for live program
  • Monitoring logs and making sure correct elements play
  • Posting show podcasts to website
  • Assisting hosts and guests during before, during, and after program
  • Pre-recording segments and show for future air dates
  • Keeping log of show archives with the ability to make “best of” specials in host absence
  • Ability to go on-air as needed with host and guests
  • Keeping up to date with current and breaking news
  • Assisting with live remotes on location outside of studio
  • Properly running a broadcast control room to fill in when needed
  • Audio engineering sporting events that air seasonally on both stations
  • Interacting with talent, publicists and listeners, while representing the station well in public at various events
  • Ensuring show stays on time during length of broadcast
  • Operating and troubleshooting station equipment, board, computers and software
