Job Description:

The Building Caretaker / Janitor for ABWE will work under the supervision of the Facilities Manager and will perform janitorial duties for ABWE Headquarters located in New Cumberland, PA. This person will give careful attention to the details of the facility and maintain a safe, clean and attractive building. This person will also be responsible for the setup and tear down of events and will also handle closing procedures.

This position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 10:00AM – 6:30PM, with occasional overtime including few weekend hours. This position starts at $12.00 to $13.00 per hour DOE and includes benefits.

The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, takes pride in his/her work, has high standards of cleanliness and safety, and sees this role as a ministry to the Lord, ABWE guests, missionaries, and staff. No experience is necessary but 1-2 years of related experience is preferred. High School Diploma or GED is required. Valid PA Driver’s license is required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and carry up to 65lbs; stand and walk for extended periods of time; climb and balance on a step stool/ladder; stoop, kneel, and crouch; sustain repetitive arm and hand motion; work under a variety of conditions and temperatures, wet and dry, for extended periods of time; work safely with large equipment and chemicals.
