Family & Connections Pastor

The Journey is looking for a new team member in the position of Family & Connections Pastor for our Queens location. We're a four year-old church plant from The Journey Church, and we have grown to 250 people each week. Our rapid growth is directly attributed to weekly life-change, and we're looking for someone to help take us to the next level!

We’re looking for a young, motivated leader to help connect and equip our new believers and build our growing children’s ministry. Since our church began four years ago, we’ve seen 200+ people make a first-time decision for Christ (over 70 alone this year!) and our children’s ministry expand to over 40 families.

If you’re a natural born leader with experience in leading children’s ministry and would love to be a part of a dynamic, innovative team shaping the future of one of the fastest growing churches in NYC, then this position might be for you!

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• A Solid Calling to Queens, NY and a high commitment to the local church
• A familiarity with The Purpose Driven Church Model
• A team player with solid organizational skills
• A passion for families and teaching God’s Word to young people at an understandable level
• A passion and drive for evangelism and reaching the unchurched
• Able to write curriculum to help enhance our kids program
• A deep desire to see new believers get connected with the church and to take steps in their faith like: membership, baptism and small groups
• A proven ability to build and develop strong leadership teams
